The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is now at the forefront of building a better energy future. Last month, Puerto Rico passed a bill to ensure the island’s energy comes from 100% renewable sources by 2050.
With just TWO WEEKS to go, we’re getting ready for Solar Power Puerto Rico. IREC board members Anne Hoskins, Chief Policy Officer/Sunrun and Ronny Sandoval, Senior Director Grid Modernization/EDF, are panelists on the two-day agenda.
This year, IREC is proud to be a partner organization of this event.
Much like other islands, Puerto Rico faces unique challenges with providing continuous energy via traditional sources. However, solar energy, paired with storage, is quickly filling the gaps.
At this two-day event, Solar Power Puerto Rico will take a deeper dive into this growing market facing demand for solar-storage systems. Energy leaders will also share their insights on the island’s new energy legislation targeted for 100% renewables by 2050, PREPA, and grid integration and modernization.
When: April 30 – May 1, 2019
Where: Intercontinental San Juan, San Juan, Puerto Rico
Presented by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), Solar Power Events
